  1. This recipe calls for 2 cups cool whip but then also states 8 ounce container. 2 cups = 16 ounces; which measurement is the correct one?

  2. Hi! So 8 oz. does equal 1 Cup, if you are going by fluid ounces. If you pull out an 8 oz tub of Fat Free Cool Whip, you will see that it is definitely more than one cup. Mine is currently frozen, or I would measure it to be exact, but I guarantee you that it is 2 Cups. Liquid measures differently than solids. Hope this helps, and answers your question. And thank you so much for calling that to my attention. I appreciate it very much.

  8. You can calculate the calories of any recipe by looking up the calories in each ingredient multiplied by quantity of that ingredient in the whole recipe, then add all of the calories from all of the ingredients of the whole recipe, then divide by number of portions. For example, if the whole recipe adds up to 1000 calories, and you and someone else each eats half, each portion is 500 calories. If you make only four large cookies, each will be 250 calories. If you make 50 cookies, each one will be 10 calories...it's time consuming to look at the calories for each ingredient x how much of it is in the recipe, but then you know forever. Calorie watching is the best way to diet, although there are some nice psychological tricks, like the Chef's 600 calorie pizza that he eats every day for lunch and lost 101 lbs. in less than one year doing.he Was still counting calories and ate lightly at the other 2 meals.
